Amazingly multihued renderings of Reptiles by master Illustrator Tim Jeffs

Tim Jeffs is an artist who gives life to illustrations of imperial reptiles by the use of bold, black colored lines and gleaming shading by pencil-crayon. The artist who is based in NY, USA gets started on any picture by sketching an outline that resembles a grid. He proceeds to fill this grid up with a gorgeous gamut of color pencils.

The squares of this grid turn into scales of rainbow color and they do the work of separately shaded pixels for making up a dazzling, Technicolor picture. However the most astonishing part is that this is more of Jeffs’ passion than his key business. via Tim Jeffs’ website | via [Twisted Sifter] | via mymodernmet
